We believe that Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues pertaining to the pursuit of life. The objective of the school is to train and produce diligent and kind boys and girls of excellent character who should attain as high an academic standard as they possible can. This objective can only be achieved if every boy or girl does his or her best both at work and at play inside and outside the school. It shall therefore be:-
1. The duty of all students to avoid anything likely to reflect a diversely on their training and character.
2. The responsibility of all students to uphold the good names of the school both within and outside its bounds and it shall be a serious breach of the school code to misbehave or do anything which is likely to bring the school into disrepute.

Our History
St. Francis Senior High Technical School is located in the heart of Akim Oda New Town, in a suburb popularly known as Jamaica, near the Roman Catholic Church. Established in 1967, the school has a rich history that reflects both dedication and vision. It was founded by the late Rev. Fr. Francis Beemsterbor, an American Catholic priest, who sought to provide young people in the community with access to quality education and moral guidance. What began as a modest Middle School has since grown into a well-respected institution of learning, shaping generations of students academically, socially, and spiritually.

Registered under the Catholic Mission, the school proudly upholds the motto “Labour, Honesty, and Peace.” These values remain central to its identity and daily operations, guiding both staff and students in their pursuit of excellence. The school places emphasis on hard work, integrity, and harmonious living, creating an environment where discipline and respect are fostered alongside academic achievement.
